It is a hill station in Trivandrum district in the state of Kerala, India. It is located 1100 m (55.2 km) north east of Thiruvananthapuram city. Ponmudi is a part of the Western Ghats that comes parallel to the Arabian sea.

Ponmudi is connected to Trivandrum by road (SH2 & SH 45). The last 18 km from Anthrahas can be seen through the hills and tea estates. It provides a thrilling experience because it will have to navigate 22 hairpin folds with drivers and riders. Ponmudi is the best place for trekking and trekking. [3]
